Mission is a mobile application that connects individuals looking for help with specific tasks to service providers ready to get the job done. Users can post a job offer, browse through available service providers, and send requests. Once a provider accepts the offer, they complete the task and deliver the final product or service directly to the user's location. The entire transaction, including payment, is handled securely online, ensuring convenience and reliability.
Creating a seamless real-time hiring and service delivery platform involved multiple technical hurdles: ensuring secure communication between users, integrating real-time updates for job requests and acceptances, and implementing a smooth, secure online payment system.
We adopted a modular architecture using Firebase for real-time data syncing and notifications. React Native was used to create a cross-platform mobile experience, while PostgreSQL handled structured job and user data. AWS services were used for scalable cloud storage and functions. Docker was implemented to streamline the deployment and environment consistency across development and production.
Mission successfully launched with a robust and intuitive user interface, allowing hundreds of users to post and accept job requests daily. The app ensured reliable payments, timely deliveries, and a trusted review system offering a complete end-to-end hiring solution in a mobile-first format.
